Greetings Clayville Families,
On behalf of the teachers and staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year! My name is Courtney Francis, and I am delighted to introduce myself as the new principal of Clayville Elementary School. I am honored to join the Scituate School District, which has been dedicated to empowering their students to become caring and productive citizens. I come to you as a former third and fifth grade teacher, as well as a literacy coach, with a wide variety of experiences to share with your wonderful community.
Here at Clayville, we will continue to celebrate the traditions of the past, while also embracing the challenges of the future. My goal is to build upon the strong foundation already present at Clayville and continue providing outstanding educational opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. Similarly, we will work to equip learners with 21st century skills that will be critical to their successes within Clayville, as well as in middle school and beyond. Most importantly, we know that student success often hinges on the support of the entire community. Thus, I will work to cultivate a strong partnership between families and the school in order to ensure student growth.
As I begin my first year as principal at Clayville, I am eager to join the rest of the staff in making a positive difference in the lives of your children. I also look forward to meeting and getting to know the students and families at Clayville Elementary School! Please feel free to contact me at Courtney.Francis@scituateschoolsri.net or by phone at Clayville, (401)-647-4115, with any questions, suggestions, or concerns. As the new school year approaches, continue to check the school website for further updates.
