STUDENT COUNCIL MEETINGS will  BE HELD ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH in E4 unless otherwise specified.

The last Student Council Meeting will be on June 13th, Wednesday 2012.  This will be a Celebration and Awards Meeting.  


Some months we will have more than one meeting. Be sure to check the morning announcements for meeting information.

A big THANKS to all the chaperones that helped out at the SMS Dances!!  We appreciate you volunteering your time!
 
Please consider chaperoning at the next dance and be sure to have your BCI on file.

*If students are absent from school the day of the dance they are not allowed to attend.*
*Students who have been referred for discipline reasons or who have been suspended during the week are not eligible to attend the dance.*
* Dress code applies & no cellphones can be turned on during the dance.

FRIDAY, JUNE 8TH - OUTDOOR FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT  

SPONSORED BY SMS STUDENT COUNCIL.  BRING YOUR CHAIRS, BLANKETS AND SNACKS FOR A FUN MOVIE NIGHT. Parents and guardians are encouraged and welcome to attend.  ADMISSION IS FREE.   VIEW THE MOVIE ON A 20' SCREEN WITH SUPERIOR SOUND!   MOVIE WILL START AT DUSK AND WILL BE SET UP IN THE REAR OF THE BUILDING IN THE PRACTICE FIELD.   The  movie will be shown in the Scituate High School Auditorium if we experience inclement weather. SMS Students and Families only please.

Pennies for Patients
Rhode Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

We have done it again!  Thank you all, namely, Scituate students, faculty, staff and families, for contributing to one of the most successful Pennies fundraiser in the last four years!  Together we raised  $4,533.34, exceeding our goal of $4,000.00.  The Rhode Island Leukemia and Lymphoma Society thank you all for helping battle blood cancer and blood diseases. SMS WAS THIRD IN THE STATE OF TOP  FUNDRAISING SCHOOLS!

The three top fundraising classrooms will receive pizza parties compliments of Domino's and SMS Student Council.

Mrs. Clyde's homeroom  raised  $1,156.54

Ms. Wong's homeroom raised  $834.09

Mr. Sanzen's homeroom raised  $705.32

Mrs. Hall's homeroom raised $255.14
Ms. Mancini's homeroom raised $216.72
Ms. Limoges homeroom raised $208.94
Ms. Rasmusson's homeroom raised $224.70

Homerooms raising over $100 were Ms. McCarthy and Ms. Charlond came close!

What an amzing effort by all!!  Thanks so much!!
